Account Types & Evaluation
Key Features:
- The 1-Step Model offers a direct path to funding through a single evaluation phase for disciplined traders.
- Includes one phase only — the Phase I — followed by a live funded live Account after successful completion.
Phase I:
- Profit Target: 10%
- Minimum Profitable Trading Days: 3
- Maximum Drawdown Limit: 6%
- Daily Drawdown Limit: 3% of equity or balance (whichever is higher)
- All trading rules and loss limits must be respected — violations lead to immediate account breach.
live Account (Funded Phase):
- Live account with real capital after completing the Phase I.
- Your performance and discipline are continuously monitored.
- Profit potential is unlimited once funded.
Hard Breach Rules:
- Maximum Loss Limit: 6% of the initial account size.
Example: A $100K account must not drop below $94,000. - Daily Loss Limit: 3% of the higher value between starting equity or balance.
Example 1 (Higher Equity): $107K equity → must stay above $103,790.
Example 2 (Higher Balance): $100K balance → must stay above $97,000. - Loss limits reset automatically at 00:00 (GMT+2) and are displayed in your dashboard.
3% Rule (Live Account Only):
- No single trade or trade idea may risk more than 3% of the account balance.
- Applies to both single entries and split positions.
- Opening a new position in the same direction within 5 minutes of a loss counts as part of the same idea.
- Example: On a $100K account, the max risk per idea is $3,000.
Inactivity Rule:
- If no trade is opened or closed within 30 consecutive days, the account is automatically closed for inactivity.
The 2-Step Model has two phases to prove your trading skills:
Phase I
- Unlimited Time: Complete at your own pace
- Profit Target: 10%
- Trading Days: Minimum 3 profitable days required
- Max Loss: 10% (absolute from initial balance)
- Daily Loss Limit: 5% (from previous day's closing balance)
Phase II — Practitioner Phase
- Profit Target: 5%
- Trading Days: Minimum 3 profitable days
- Follow all drawdown and loss limits
Key Features:
- Your daily drawdown limit is 10%. If your equity falls below this threshold within a single trading day, the account will be considered breached.
- The total maximum drawdown allowed on the account is 40%. Once this limit is reached, the account will be terminated.
- You must complete a minimum of 5 profitable trading days, with each profitable trade contributing at least 2% to your account balance.
- Each trade must remain open for at least 2 minutes to be considered valid.
- The initial profit split is 50% in your favor. With every successful payout, your profit split increases by 5%.
- If you experience 3 back-to-back losing trades, your profit split will be adjusted to 30%.
- Your account must remain active for at least 30 days. If no trades are placed during this period, the account will be automatically closed.
- This account offers bi-weekly payouts — you can request a withdrawal every 14 days once you meet the eligibility criteria.
- The minimum withdrawal amount must be at least 10% of your account capital to be eligible for payout.
- Yes, news trading is allowed.
- Fee refund after 4th payout.
- Hedging allowed.
- Copy trading allowed.
- Weekend holding allowed.
Rules & Requirements
Your equity or balance must not drop below 10% of the initial account size. Breaching this limit results in immediate account closure.
Example: $100,000 account → cannot fall below $90,000
The maximum loss in a single day is 5% of the higher value of balance/equity. Resets daily at 00:00 CEST (Server Time).
Examples:
- Higher Equity: $105k balance, $107k equity → cannot drop below $101,650 that day
- Higher Balance: $100k balance, $99k equity → cannot drop below $95,000 that day
Daily equity includes both floating P/L and closed positions.
No single trade may result in a loss greater than 3% of account size. This applies only to Live Accounts, not challenge phases.
Important Notes:
- Splitting positions still counts as one trade
- Example: $100,000 account → max loss on a single trade = $3,000
Yes, a stop loss is mandatory for all trades. If a stop loss is not set within 2 minutes of entering a trade, the position will be automatically closed.
This ensures that risk management protocols are adhered to, maintaining responsible trading practices.
Trading Guidelines
During Evaluation Stage:
- No restrictions on holding trades during news events or weekends
- However, purposely trading news is prohibited and will lead to account termination
During Live Account:
- You may hold trades during news events and weekends
- Profits from trades opened/closed within 5 minutes before or after high-impact news (red folder events) will not count unless the trade was opened at least 5 hours before the event
Restricted News Window:
- Events: 5 minutes before until 5 minutes after release
- Speeches: 5 minutes before until 5 minutes after speech concludes
Prohibited strategies include:
- Gap trading
- High-frequency trading
- Server spamming
- Latency arbitrage
- Toxic trading flow
- Hedging (2-Step Model only)
- Long-short arbitrage
- Reverse arbitrage
- Tick scalping
- Server execution manipulation
- Opposite account trading
Note: Copy trading with other users or account management by third-party vendors is not allowed. Using third-party Expert Advisors (EA) is permitted only if it functions as a trade or risk manager.
The IP rule ensures account integrity and security. The region of the IP address used to purchase the evaluation, log in to Funded Gems website, and access your account must remain consistent.
Trading While Traveling:
- You are free to travel and access your account from different locations
- Using the same IP at all times is not required
- Our system monitors changes to ensure they follow a logical pattern
Using VPS or VPN:
- Permitted during both evaluation and live trading
- May require proof of VPS/VPN ownership if regional change detected
- Static IP VPS/VPN can be whitelisted
The Maximum Lot Exposure Limit defines the total number of lots you can have open at any given time (applies to 2-Step Live Accounts only).
Lot Exposure Limits:
- $5,000 account: No limit
- $10,000 account: No limit
- $25,000 account: Maximum 10 lots
- $50,000 account: Maximum 20 lots
- $100,000 account: Maximum 40 lots
Important: This limit applies only to simultaneously open trades, not daily trading activity. For merged accounts above $100,000, the maximum exposure remains capped at 40 lots.
Payouts & Rewards
Setting Your Reward Cycle:
- Log in to your dashboard
- Go to the credentials section in the upper right corner
- Click the "Set Reward Cycle" button
Reward Timeframe: Typically processed within 1–3 working days. Allow an additional 1–2 working days for the reward to appear in your wallet.
Minimum Reward: The minimum payout is 1% of the initial account balance (including our share).
We support multiple secure payment options:
- Cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC)
Important Notes:
- Available payment methods may vary by region/country
- Fees depend on the payment provider and your financial institution
Once you successfully complete all evaluation stages and receive four rewards on your Funded Gems Live Account, you will automatically be eligible for a refund of your registration fee.
The refund is processed together with your 4th reward payout, so you don't need to request it manually.
Account Management
After your evaluation is approved, you will need to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process.
How to Complete KYC:
- Log in to your Funded Gems account
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Verify
- Submit required documents:
- Proof of Identity (Government ID, Driver's License, Passport)
- Selfie (must match your proof of identity)
- Proof of Address (Utility Bill, Bank Statement)
Important: Each trader may only hold one verified account. The KYC process typically takes only a few minutes to complete.
The onboarding process typically takes 2 working days to integrate with our risk management system.
Example Timeline:
If your Real Account was created on Wednesday, October 1, 2025:
- Day 1: October 1–2
- Day 2: October 2–3
- Expected completion: End of October 3, 2025
Important: You will only be able to set your reward cycle and enable trading once onboarding is fully completed.
After completing the evaluation stage, traders using the Step 2 Model have the option to merge their Real accounts or keep them separate.
Merging Rules:
- Only Real accounts from the same Step 2 Model can be merged
- The trading platform and reward cycle of the new account will follow the first purchased account
- Merging accounts will combine the Lot Exposure Limit
Example: Merging a $25,000 and $50,000 account results in a maximum lot exposure of 30 lots (10 + 20). Maximum allowed is 40 lots, even for merged accounts above $100,000.
When you start trading with Funded Gems, your initial account size will be the one you selected at sign-up: $25,000, $50,000, or $100,000.
As you progress, you'll have the opportunity to manage up to $300,000 across multiple accounts, giving you flexibility and room to scale your trading journey.
Trading Platform
If you have multiple accounts connected to cTrader, you can easily switch between them:
- Open cTrader and log in to your profile
- In the top-left corner, locate the "Accounts" tab
- Click "Accounts" to open a drop-down list
- Select the account you want to switch to
cTrader will automatically load your selected account.
If You Already Have a cTrader Account:
Use your email to log in through cTrader Web, iPhone, Android, Windows, or Mac. Your account will appear in the drop-down list.
If You Don't Have a cTrader Account:
Method 1: Visit cTrader and sign up with your email.
Method 2: Look for an email from cTrader Spotware with subject "[ACTION REQUIRED] Set Your cTrader ID Password" and follow the link to set your password.
It is normal to experience delays in trade history updates on your dashboard. This does not affect your actual trading results.
Key Points:
- Trade history may not appear immediately
- Account balance, objectives, and equity remain accurate
- Dashboard updates periodically, not in real-time
- Always refer to your trading platform for real-time results
Performance & Scoring
The FUNDED GEMS Score is an evaluation system that measures your trading performance on a scale from 0 to 100. Unlike basic profit-only metrics, it considers multiple aspects of your trading behavior.
What It Measures:
- Risk-Reward Ratio (RR)
- Winning Ratio (WR)
- Take Profit / Stop Loss Usage
- Consistency Score
Scoring Bands:
- 80–100: Exceptional performance
- 60–79: Good (solid score)
- 40–59: Average
- 20–39: Below average
- 0–19: Poor
General Strategies:
- Master your Risk-Reward Ratio by setting profit targets larger than stop losses
- Make TP and SL orders mandatory on every trade
- Build consistency through the same position sizing formula
- Focus on quality over quantity - wait for high-probability setups
Advanced Strategies:
- Track daily returns and aim for steady, modest growth
- Reduce position sizes when your account is in drawdown
- Develop multiple trading strategies to diversify your edge
- Regularly backtest and refine your methods
